Been dead nine years, though that still puts him ahead of Fat Sam in my book.

Absolutely no chance KM takes a job which isn’t day to day management. He’d have his missus doing rondos in the garden. [Post edited 8 May 8:34]

I've said this a couple of times but - McKenna will take the England job in another ten+ years after winning his third champions league with us.

McKenna for England rather than Northern Ireland ? If his career goes as hoped and he parallels Alex Ferguson then I can see him taking on the Northern Ireland post many years in the future, This is the point of divergence, Ferguson never looked like taking the Scotland job because he still had so much to do at Manchester United and Scotland is such a demanding job in terms of expectations and disparate characters and playing styles of their top players (which is why Steve Clarke has shown himself to be so good.) That is not to say that Northern Ireland is not complex (and there is a possibility that the nation will have been absorbed by then anyway, so an all Ireland team might be even more appropriate for McKenna) but if Kieran can eclipse Ferguson by wrapping up a big club position (hopefully Ipswich are that big club by then) and leaving the club in a fit enough position for another top class manager to step in and make it work then that would be the time for a more gentle path towards retirement through international management.
