So you are thinking that McKenna will be looking at buying some unsettled Brighton players. Right?

The only club KM has been linked with that I find deeply unsettling.

Please reassure me everything is going to be okay and he'll be with us next season.

Much more of a concern than United.

If we were still in the Championship it would be a feeling of dread but to get us up is dreamland stuff so if he goes it will be with good wishes.

Hopefully he won't though and Ashton has already picked the bow out for his birthday present (Omari)

It's going to look a bit obvious if both de Zerbi and Ten Hag are telling the United players what to do during the match, isn't it ?

Would be more concerned if we hadn’t gone up.

He’s basically got a free hit next season and if he does well, could potentially bypass that middle club move and jump straight in at a top 6 club at the end of next season. Especially if Ten Haag stays at Utd for one more year.

I’ve heard that Vincent Company likes to be beside the sea side. 😎

He'll be linked with every PL job with varying degrees of probability of it happening.

No point wetting ourselves all pre-season.

For me this would have been more likely had we still be in the championship, I think the odds have significantly reduced now we're in the same league. Brighton are pretty much at their ceiling and the only way is down, whereas Town have plenty of road in front of them.

I don’t think KM would be interested personally. I think that’s more of a sideways step.

Also, don’t we have a special relationship with Brighton?

Sideways? They are a well run stable established Prem club.

Hopefully we will get established but right now it's a step up unfortunately.

FWIW I don't think he will go but then again, you can spend a fortune on transfers or £4m on his release clause and potentially add tens of millions to your squad value.

That’s a shame because I heard it was Vincent Kompany that likes to be beside the seaside

If we were still in the Championship then this news would worry me, but I don't think Brighton would be able to entice KM now we're in the Prem

Bit of a worry, but why upturn his life and family for this, wouldn’t wages be similar, it’s hardly a giant leap foward for him. I would think give ITFC a season and see where we end up, if he does well he will have top 6 offers same as if he did well at Brighton. I would think the aim is to turn us into a Brighton or Brentford and keep his life the same.

The only Muff in Town.

Imo you don't slog yourself for 2 seasons, get to the prem build a culture at a club and have it running the way you want. To up and leave to another club in the same division.

I'm more relaxed about this potential link than the other.

Balls. First genuine concern I’ve had for McKenna. He suits them perfectly and that must be tempting.

I agree with this, for the reasons you state. Ipswich is his 'project' and there is more upside here for him than at Brighton.

In my opinion he'll only leave for a Spurs or United whilst we are in the top division.
