Hypothetical..... 08:23 - May 20 with 2104 views | yorkshireblue | Chelsea fan asked me at work if we'd swap McKenna for Omari as hypothetical. He says we would we be mad not to, as we could in theory in this hypothetical situation sell Omari for lots more than the compensation we would get for McKenna. Yes, I know it doesn't work like that and speculating doesn't help anything.... (He thinks there is nothing in the speculation anyway)
Hypothetical..... on 08:30 - May 20 with 1905 views | Kropotkin123 | Pretty hard no from me. It not about how much compensation we get from them, it is about their impact whilst they are here. KM is simply more important than any squad member right now.

Hypothetical..... on 08:31 - May 20 with 1903 views | ITFC_Forever | No chance. The manager (and especially KMc) is bigger than one player. Say Omari gets a bad injury / loses form etc - he's no use to us then until he is fit again. KMc in the meantime makes a difference every day. [Post edited 20 May 13:45]

Hypothetical..... on 08:40 - May 20 with 1817 views | Churchman | Absolutely not. It isn’t about market value. It’s about what these people offer to the football club. In McKenna’s case that’s considerably more than any individual player. There’s far too much focus on ££. But that’s the way of the world, sadly.

Hypothetical..... on 08:55 - May 20 with 1659 views | jayessess | The manager is easily the most important component in a football club's immediate on-field success.

People forget that if KMc were to leave others would follow, not that I think he will leave anytime soon.

Hypothetical..... on 08:56 - May 20 with 1642 views | J2BLUE | Mad not to...haha. We could do the swap then sell Omari for £50m but keeping McKenna here could see multiples of that in transfer fees/staying up. Quite frustrating that this is such an obvious no and yet another club could get him for a fraction of Omari's value.

Hypothetical..... on 10:38 - May 20 with 1233 views | CaptainAhab | Depends. Is KM going to go to Brighton? In which case, yes I'd swap him for Omari in a heartbeat! (For the record I don't think KM is going anywhere thankfully)
Hypothetical..... on 10:43 - May 20 with 1208 views | joepublic | It's a no from me. OH may not perform to anywhere near same levels for a new manager. On a side note, no amount of compensation could cover for the impact McK has made. Unlikely to replace him with someone who can lift up the entire club, raise player performance to such high levels. Make us attractive to watch, high scoring but hard to beat. And all with a quiet determination and utter professionalism. Let's hope he wants a staue at the ground.

Hypothetical..... on 10:44 - May 20 with 1194 views | Daninthecampo | Absolutely no and sadly Omari would only drop down to play for us under Kieran

Whilst I don’t disagree with you if that’s the case why do managers move for so little compensation fee in relation to player fees if that is the case?

Hypothetical..... on 13:16 - May 20 with 899 views | Stewart27 | Absolutely not. And money is an irrelevant argument here.
Hypothetical..... on 13:51 - May 20 with 821 views | BloomBlue | Sounds like a classic Chelsea fan, money more important than the football. That also assumes Omari would still want to join Town if McKeena wasn't here.
Hypothetical..... on 14:03 - May 20 with 780 views | stonojnr | No, Omari wasn't on our radar till McKenna worked with him, McKenna could easily unearth another gifted player like Omari whilst McKenna feels like a once in a generation manager for us at least
Hypothetical..... on 15:24 - May 20 with 635 views | ArnoldMoorhen | I can't help but feel that IF McKenna went to Chelsea he would want to have Hutchinson available to him. I believe that Hutchinson doesn't count towards squad numbers under Premier League rules, so is a potential bonus player for them.

im hearing IF we loose 2 games on the spin then we are lining up Pepe or Klopp... otherwise not many better managers atm

Definitely not on 15:27 - May 20 with 627 views | Dyland | If McKenna stays at Town we finish mid table next season. Give him three more years and he'll have Town pushing for Europe. That's the project goal. Why not? Aim for the stars and if you miss you may still reach the moon. I reckon he'll stay, unless the ManU bods come calling with an offer he can't refuse.
