The EFL has confirmed the dates for this season’s play-off semi-finals and final

Town, currently third, will hope to avoid the play-offs by winning automatic promotion for a second successive season.

The first leg of the tie between the teams finishing sixth and third will take place on Sunday 12th May (KO 12.30pm) with the second leg hosted by the third-placed side on Thursday 16th May (KO 8pm).

The fifth-v-fourth first leg will take place on Monday 13th May (KO 8pm) with the fourth-place side hosting the second leg on Friday 17th May (KO 8pm).

The final will be played on Sunday 26th May with the kick-off time to be confirmed. The full schedule for the three EFL divisions can be found here.

I hope they are right i couldn't bare the ordeal of the play offs especially if Norwich are in their. Wouldn't it be great to get promoted and then watch Norwich suffer in the play offs. Personally im of an adult nature and would like to see both of us go up it would be great for the region.

muhrensleftfoot added 16:29 - Mar 20 Whilst I hope and pray we go up automatically, we could just as easily finish 3rd or 4th, so I’ve marked up all up these dates on the calendar so my wife doesn’t go booking anything!

OldTractor added 17:04 - Mar 20 If my memory serves me correctly when Ipswich faced Norwich in play off semi finals back in 2015, there was an agreement already in place with the Police and the Football League that both legs would take place and kick off at 12.30pm on two Sundays to lesson aggravation ?

Bert added 17:05 - Mar 20 All dates in the diary. The DM on line is reporting that the 2nd June is the “emergency” date should Coventry reach the two finals. Unlikely but that’s me stuffed if that scenario were to play out. Automatic promotion would see me dancing in the streets and more !

The possibility of finishing 20pts better than the team promoted is nuts. But then, it's about the money isn't it? Let's hope we don't need the playoffs anyway. COYB
