I remember seeing Gary Lineker interviewed for something. Was asked who the best player he had ever seen was and he said Maradona.
He talked about how Maradona was involved in the Football League centenary match in 89 or 91 (I think). In the warm up, Maradona was doing keepy-uppys by kicking the ball as high as he could in the air and waiting for it to come back down to kick it back up again. Each time it came down in the same spot, he didnt have to move at all.
Lineker said all the players on his team stopped and watched and he got the spurs players to try it the following week. Nobody could manage it more than once. | | | |

Yes but there are many times where he got a booking when most would get a red.
Not knocking him, as you say he is one of the all time greats, but I've heard a few professionals saying that he knows what he is doing when he makes some of those miss timed tackles. | |
