| Laptop screen fault 14:00 - Aug 12 with 346 views | SouthWestBlue | Anyone else had a laptop with a screen which has decided to stop working? I've got an Acer Aspire and have never had any problems with it, now the screen is completely white when turned on and is only usable through an external screen eg TV. Have tryed taking it apart to see if I can see any damage or lose wiring and have tryed a few tricks people have done on YouTube which doesn't seem to work. Anyone had a similar problem and solved it? Don't really fancy forking out loads of money to repair shops and sending it away so if it can't be fixed will end up just replacing it. | | | | |

I've had trouble with screens before and that's been the reason. In which case, I don't think there'll be a quick fix. But, don't take my word for it. I'm just repeating my own experience. Might be worth taking it into a shop anyway and asking them if they have any suggestions. You can always turn them down if you don't like what they say.

Thanks. That's what I'll have to do although it's looking likely ill just replace it as the chargers on the brink as well. You can pick up a fairly decent laptop for cheap enough now a days.
