When Rangers set up as a newco, those who wanted to TUPE'ed over so transfered contracts to the new company. Those who didn't are technically free agents in that they aren't employed, but Rangers still hold their registrations and the SFA would at least delay international clearance as Rangers would protest it.
We'd prob have to pay Rangers a fee for the registration so international clearance can be given. [Post edited 21 Aug 11:36]
