It's one of our longer trips of course, and we have Carlisle away in the cup a few days later as well... ouch! Chances? We've a young side with a good first XI but lack depth. We're building for the future, but the spirit within the team seems to have improved. I get the impression most would be content to just improve on the last few seasons of 15th/16th placed finishes and not have to look over our shoulder at the relegation battle below us at all. We'll prob be mid-table and I'd be happy to see us back in the top half. The poll on the front page shows that quite a few are optimistic of possibly sneaking a play-off spot though, and I'd bite your hand off at the moment for that. We've got a new Number 1 in Scott Loach (from Watford). We've added Chambers (Forest) and Hewitt (Macclesfield) to defence, though Hewitt is out injured at the moment. We also have young Luongo on loan from Spurs in midfield. All except Hewitt started on Saturday. All sound like they build on what we had, but not been able to see with my own eyes yet. Have you signed anyone and what do you think of them? Have you sold anyone? Are you confident you will hang on to all the players you have started the season with?

Having been at the Blackburn game, it is safe to say that the signings look decent. Chambers solid and vocal, along with Loach. Luongo is a player, very good on the ball and I think has that extra class expected from a top Premier League team academy. Obviously early days as yet, abd we will know more over the next few weeks

Thanks for the replies guys Blackpool this season are hoping for a return to the Premier league after going down on the last day of the season before last and missing out on a return against West Ham in the play off final last season We are looking at a top two finish (not that every Blackpool fan will agree with me) We have signed a few players One being Tiago Gomes a Portuguese midfield player who looks tasty] We also have Dicko back on a season loan from Wigan who is a fast young striker Isaiah Osbourne from Hibs and Scott Robbertson from Dundee have also been added We sold our long standing Midfield player Keith Southern to Huddersfield over the summer and Lua Lua and Bednar moved on A bid from a premier league club for Tom Ince has been rejected this week and Southampton have put a 5 million bid in for Matt Phillips which has been rejected

We were supposed to be interested in Robertson. I like the way Holloway plays his football and always enjoy watching Blackpool. I was sorry to see them relegated and would have much preferred them to go up to Wham. I can recall when we last got relegated from the Prem and the first few seasons down were very optimistic of a quick return. I think it gets more difficult each season. Good luck but I suspect the play-offs is a more realistic aim.

You've got a surprisingly good squad to be fair, what a help those parachute payments are, what we'd do for a bit of that! We've got a good foundation for the season imho, we're probably two signings away from being a serious contender, the jury is still out on whether we'll secure those players but our passing so far has been exceptional. This easily looks like the best passing side we've had since we were last in the Premiership so there's actually a bit of enthusiasm from the fans for the first time in some while. We're still a bit susceptible at the back, particularly from set pieces as most of our team are under six foot. You should be a good test for us as you're certainly one of the best attacking sides in the division.

Fair play my arse! Altright crumbly Lancashire may be acceptable, but Mexican? It's some sort of tasteless non-descript cheese with a bunch of cheap chillies chucked in. Pathetic. I'm sorry, I have lost all respect for Blackpool after that travesty.
