Chopra and Twitter again 09:44 - Feb 3 with 2325 viewssparks

He appears actually to have posted a picture of himself, from when he was a promising young player at Newcastle, playing in Champs League "~for all the haters".

Mr Chopra, no one hates you for having once been a talented young player. Neither does any doubt that there is and has been some real footballing talent.

The grief you get is down to your behaviour, for which you still seem unwilling to accept any responsibility, and for your mindless whining on Twitter.

Do yourself a favour, stop making a fool of yourself on the internet, and get to the training ground. Do all you can to make that talent you once had shine again... If you are interested.

Would happily say it to his face, infact once saw him taking wads of money out of a cash point in town, how ironic.

I don't get the irony?

Never booed a Town player and never will.

No- you saw my name and decided to have a pop- but had to do so without actually having any thought about what I said or what it meant...

Lets do this by numbers...

People on the internet are idiots.
Nothing can really be done about that. Its the internet.
Mr Chopra knows its the internet. The clubs knows its the internet.
If you are going to have a public twitter feed, then you need to be aware of that.
As a professional footballer who has behaved in the way he has, you are inevitably going to get some grief.
That being the case, you either have to accept that and not hit out back all the time in a plainly counterproductive and unprofessional manner, which probably impacts on your mindset, morale, etc etc. Or you have to avoid putting yourself in that situation.
If you do put yourself in that situation, and you engage on the level of the internet idiots, I personally have little sympathy.
That is not the same as endorsing people making attacks on people with mental health issues (a phrase I suspect you chose for effect)
Nor is it "dismissing" criticism of idiots as you so disingenuously allege.

Now what is it I actually said that you disagree with. Precisely?

And why come in, all guns blazing, on a perfectly civil conversation that didnt involve you?

And finally, lets look at your earlier comment:

" but unless people think that normal standards of decent behaviour cease to apply online, I'm not sure how the response 'It's the internet' in response to Dan's entirely correct statement that 'constantly abusing people with obvious and serious mental health problems is neither moral, or helpful.' is anything other than epic, as you might say, logic fail."

Now... To anyone with a brain, it would be quite apparent that the comment "its the internet" is a reflection of that fact that these idiots will always be present. Whether we like it or not, they are there on the internet and always will be. Its not any of the things you went on to claim it was (like a dismissal of criticism). Its simply a recognition of reality. In the context of reality, I have little sympathy for Chopra who persistently chooses to put himself out there and exacerbate the situation, despiute (one must assume) all manner of advice and support.

Now go back and read the OP and see if you actually agree with it.

Your No 1:

Get off the internet; that will make one fewer.

crivens. Man withdraws money from cashpoint shocker.

I'll level with you, I reckon you'd have asked for a photo and pasted it on your facebook page rather than giving him any hassle. Gut feeling.

Never booed a Town player and never will.
