No?

Thought Stearman was excellent yesterday, much better than Orr.

I liked Orr overall - but on yesterday's showing I certainly think Stearman looks like an upgrade...

He could prove to be the best loan since Gio, I thought he was class, and the type of player we need, I'd be trying to get a deal done straight away!

Thoroughly impressed with everything about him tbh.

It a big man ting!

That's just what we need - keep upgrading player by player. If he continues well i'm totally sure that ME will pay whatever is needed in the summer if MM asks.

Ideally, Stearman and Smith will eventually be played in the centre, with Hewitt being played at RB.

Hewitt - Stearman - Smith - Cresswell

That would be one of the youngest, most promising defenses in the football league in my opinion.

Agreed. That would be a very good defence, with young fullbacks who are comfortable pushing forward. If we could sign Ndaw on a permanent basis in the summer to act as a screen infront of the back four, you would have a very solid platform from which to attack. Stearman looks to have a decent turn of pace with that long stride of his. Mopped up very nicely behind Smith and chambers yesterday when he tucked in from fullback.

Always rated Stearman and he went further up in my estimation yesterday.

Hope we sign him permanently.

exactly the problem with our continuing loan policy, we could have purchased him this window. If he is quality for the next few months he will have offers coming from everywhere and we will struggle to keep him.

He clearly thinks a lot of MM and TC and this will be a huge draw for him

We'll be very competitive in the summer and Mick did say most of our permanent business would be done then.

Agree though, Stearman looked very good, good pace, tackling and covering of Chambers too.

Surprised with his height he didn't go up for a corner though!

I like Chambers, i just think he struggles sometimes because he's not the biggest for a centre back . 6ft would be a generous estimation

I thought Stearman was excellent against Boro, did his job very well and knew exactly when to cover the centre-backs.
