This a note to myself! Mainly but also a warning to those less experienced.

Whenever a great result happens, I think WOW next week will be even better...5-0....6-0.... but what usually happens is a bore no score draw or a narrow loss. Just preparing you....just in case.....

So what your saying is, in our next match we'll either win, draw or lose.

Thanks for the insight.

Although I seem to recall we did register three consecutive 5-1 wins under Mr Burley.

Phil will need to have all the flouncing hatches secured tightly if Jordan Rhodes scores, although why people get so worked up about somebody who only ever scored one senior goal for us, I'll never know.

Around 1997/98 I think. I think Birmingham were one of the teams we beat, possibly Sunderland too.

Calm down....I said , prepare to be disappointed....it may not happen but in my many years of experience that is what happens more often than not....after an outstanding win.

In '97/'98 we beat Huddersfield 5 - 1 (then Man City 2 - 1) Norwich 5 - 0 and Oxford 5 - 2 in that February, plus Port Vale 5 - 1 later in the season.

There were two consecutive 4 - 0 victories in the previous season (against Oldham and Swindon.

Don't necessarily believe we'll get a big win (thought we might hand one out at some point and yesterday was it), but I see no reason why we can't continue the momentum - especially as two of our new strikers have now broken their ducks for the club.

Not really - my expectation is based on the sure foundation of the team's record since November. We've had a brief loss of momentum with some difficult games against the League leaders and fellow strugglers - plus while our new strikers get up to speed. We've followed a disappointing loss with a solid victory. I see no reason why we shouldn't build on that with further decent (if not necessarily spectacular) results.

Match doesn't start after Rhodes is kidnapped and held prisoner in a cellar converted into a makeshift temple by some of his cultists.

Might be down to the style of play - stifled by packed midfields rather than being able to get through more open games.
