Liverpool, if they stick with Brendan Rogers 17:14 - Feb 3 with 286 viewsSmithy

can really see them being a force in a few years time, totally out playing City at the moment.

Next season will be my 30th following Town (Incredible!), think I need help.

Far too many average players and far to reliant on Gerrard. They need another Gerrard class player just to maintain as he's getting on a bit. Suarez and Gerrard are arguably the only world class players they have. Others like Sturridge are decent but they won't trouble Man U any time soon.

Poll: Should you expect TWTDers to answer polls sensibly

You could say that about manure though. RVP, Rooney and maybe Vidic are the only real world class players they have, id say, but together as a team they are one of the best in the world, if liverpool can become a team, in the man u sense, then they can still do well without Gerrard.

RVP and Rooney are younger than Gerrard.

The likes of Kelly, Wisdom and Johnson are nowhere near Evra, Young and Kagawa IMO.

Add in Hernandez and Welbeck and United are just stupidly strong in attack. It's going to take something huge to better them and I don't see Liverpool doing it.

Yeah i can't disagree with that, on paper Man City easily have the best players, just saying manure prove it's more a team game and that liverpool can emulate that.

I'm not saying they can win however many things man u have won though, just progress back to being a proper top 4 club again

Suarez and Sturridge look a decent combination, he's doing alright imho, they're in transition really. Liverpool used to be all about defensive stability and Gerrard being a beast. They used play some tremendously dull Football. Rodgers is trying to take them into the 21st century, it's going to take time.

Am I dreaming this but wasn't he once linked with coming to us as assistant to Roy Keane?

Rodgers Holds Town Talks 22nd May 2010 10:00
TWTD understands that former Watford and Reading boss Brendan Rodgers has held meetings at Portman Road to discuss becoming the club’s assistant manager. Last month, we reported that Rodgers was top of Roy Keane’s list of potential deputies, the Blues boss having decided to appoint an assistant at the end of the season. 38

Rodgers is a bellend and a gobshi*e. I thought his remark about Benteke in the week was quite disrespectful.

However, I think he will turn that club into a force again.

Poll: Should Gav and Phil limiti the number of polls?
