| Liverpool, if they stick with Brendan Rogers on 18:55 - Feb 3 with 210 views | J2BLUE | Far too many average players and far to reliant on Gerrard. They need another Gerrard class player just to maintain as he's getting on a bit. Suarez and Gerrard are arguably the only world class players they have. Others like Sturridge are decent but they won't trouble Man U any time soon. | |

You could say that about manure though. RVP, Rooney and maybe Vidic are the only real world class players they have, id say, but together as a team they are one of the best in the world, if liverpool can become a team, in the man u sense, then they can still do well without Gerrard.

RVP and Rooney are younger than Gerrard. The likes of Kelly, Wisdom and Johnson are nowhere near Evra, Young and Kagawa IMO. Add in Hernandez and Welbeck and United are just stupidly strong in attack. It's going to take something huge to better them and I don't see Liverpool doing it.

Yeah i can't disagree with that, on paper Man City easily have the best players, just saying manure prove it's more a team game and that liverpool can emulate that. I'm not saying they can win however many things man u have won though, just progress back to being a proper top 4 club again

Liverpool used to be all about defensive stability and Gerrard being a beast. They used play some tremendously dull Football. Rodgers is trying to take them into the 21st century, it's going to take time. [Post edited 3 Feb 19:23]
