MM in tears 18:58 - Jan 12 with 4073 viewsyorksblue

Just been watching local news. MM at funeral of Barnsley kitman. Choking back tears, as he delivers a speech. Don't tell anyone, or his street credit will suffer.

I did think of Mick when I saw the news last week as knew he was very close to Norman Rimmington

Sounded that way, done every job at the club and been there 70 odd years

Mick has mentioned him a few times

I reckon we should sack the manager every time we lose a game

Maybe people could be less of a collective c*nt to him this weekend.

Out of respect.

Mick is a good man, I was livid with some of the abuse dished out to him and the players on Saturday. Yes it was utter crap, they do not deserve that level of abuse though. My mates who go with me were also shocked (they are followers, but support Arsenal and Newcastle). It seems unlikely, but I would love nothing more than Mick to shut a few people up and I hope he starts this weekend for his sadly departed friend.

Much as I have been thinking/hoping/wishing for the last few weeks and will continue to do so.

Had to re-read that; as for a moment I thought you were saying MMc should start on Saturday!

This thread started about someone's funeral and the fact that MM is clearly a very decent human being.
It will be a shame if the thread gets pulled.

The likes of Norman Rimmington are the people who keep the game alive in this country. What an amazing servant.
