Just re-watching the extended highlights, Freddie has a load of chances, and recently he seems to be getting chances every game and just can't convert them. Lack of confidence?
I hope so because if he can score one and keep getting chances like that he could score a handful.

If he's going to score just a 'handful' he can leave, its a hatful we need.

You must set your sights a bit higher. We need a sackful.

He's just not a very good finisher when he has any time to think about the chance.

His career record shows that - bar a purple patch in the 14/15 season for us and Colchester he's never been a goalscorer.

He has to get a handful before he can get a hatful, let alone a sackful.

Even during that excellent spell he was tending to take the more difficult chances and spurning some of the easier ones.

Although obviously playing at a lower level, Morris, a similar type of striker, seems much more clinical. Hopefully he'll replicate that in the first team as and when he gets his chance.

I hope Morris is given a chance at some point, but it does seem difficult for him given that Sears, McGoldrick, Pitman, Moore, and another new striker (should we get one) are all probably viewed as being ahead of him.

Hopefully we can get 3-0 or 4-0 up tomorrow night and he'll be given a 15-20 minute cameo appearance, that would be good.

Sears does look completely shot of confidence in front of goal at the moment, he seems like he's doing extra running into channels so he can avoid getting in the position where he might miss a chance!

If we get a new striker in this month then a few weeks out of the team and mental rest for Sears would do him a world of good - he can replace his lack of confidence with a determination to force his way back and when he's not thinking about missing chances I'm sure the goals will come back - he hasn't become a bad player suddenly!

Never seen Morris play, does he have the pace that Sears has?

It would be nice for him to get a chance, confidence booster for him as much as anything.

He still looks so young though - against Lincoln I was behind the dugout and we thought the subs (excluding Douglas + Bart obviously) were ball-boys at first, it was only when I recognised Morris I realised they were our subs!!

The most clinical striker we've had in recent years has been Jack Marriott - a shame he didn';t get a chance.

Looked like Saturday was setting up for a debut for Morris when we were pushing on at 3-1 - but Ipswich being Ipswich meant that it didn't turn out that way

I'd be more worried if he was not getting any chances. Just needs one to fly in for him and then he'll get 32!
