There are barely 60 replies on the various threads connected with Spence as I write. Some debate what it signals for Chambers; others wonder if he'll be fit; some say it's a sensible squad addition, others, that it may be a distraction from our "plan". You may have discerned meltdown, but, already three hours have passed since Phil proclaimed the deal, and I'm finding it a tad elusive.

Thought we had signed a right footed centre back who can play at right back, something which I thought we already had.
Spence left his last club at the end of last season and, as Phil has said, was here on trial earlier this season.
We could presumably have signed him anytime in the last three months, makes you wonder what has changed that now makes the signing a good idea.
Probably because MM has at last realised that Chambo should be in middle and he's therefore a bit light at RB. It's what we've been saying for months so why any moans!!
