Third person makes no sense if he was referring to himslf, unless perhaps someone had thrown an insult about "the goalkeeper".

No idea. I thought Chambers was one of the few who put a decent performance in last night. Couldn't see where the stick was coming from. He frequently saved Berra and Digby's blushes.
