Doing well down the road. Nicking their manager worked out well last time.

John McGreal
OOOOHH John McGreal!

Nah - I don't think so. I'd rather give Matt Holland a go if we are going down the route of trying any old ex-player.

Holland has zero coaching or managerial experience why on earth would you think hes fit to manage the club.

I think McGreal has no credentials to take over a mid-table Championship side - so if it's a punt let's go with Matty Holland!

Apparently Tony Humes is a big part of it there too

And he's got a great song. I'd give him a go, lot cheaper than McCarthy too and might be able to sign some gems from the lower leagues.

To solve our issue with players aimlessly hoofing the ball we bring in a manager who as a player did the same thing. Don't like that logic.

Did you watch Town when McGreal played for us? You're spouting rubbish laddie.

He wasn't a hoofer, always played the ball on the floor to Magilton of across the back to Venus. Very good footballer.

I did indeed watch McGreal play and the only out balls I remember were a Knudsenesque hoof down the line.

No, leave Col U be.

It's where I go for footballing solace when I get fed up with Town's tedious style of play.

Come to think of it... all those of you who are discussing how to express your dissatisfaction with Town could give Ipswich a miss one week, and go to watch Colchester the following week. That might just get the message across. Let Evans know that "competition" and "choice" are alive and well.

Or maybe the current dross has messed with my memory.
But yeah, all I can remember is lumping it up the line, strange.

Yes, up to the point we got relegated and the club went into administration as a result of which it is now £80m + in debt.

Managerial stats when Ipswich came calling :

Burley 158 games, 45 wins, 35.1% win avg

McGreal 31 games, 11 wins, 35.4% win avg
