Gerken to Bristol Rovers? 17:21 - Jan 18 with 3634 viewsmaccyd9

Quite a few rumours that he's signed for them.

It would explain his "I'm off comment" at the Town fans last night.

Thank heaven we signed that back-up keeper then.

Good luck to him if he has. Never deserved the abuse he has received from some fans.

Decent No.2 for us

Not a bad No1 either whilst Bart was learning to catch a ball.

Maybe not, they've just announced another keeper!

Locals seem to have put 2+2 together and come up with 5!

Didn't realise he is meant to have said this?

He did seem emotional at the end though.

Quite a few Town fans have commented that he made reference to someone leaving.

I'm surprised he's accepted being the number 2 now as he could easily be a League 1 number 1.

Probably the Bristol connection from his earlier career?

We won't get many better No.2's to sit on the bench for most of the season. I'd expect Michael Crowe to step up next season though as I think DG is out of contract?

What abuse? Has that word lost all meaning now.

TWTD CP. Evans Out.

I was right behind goal last night and after his second or third dodgy kick he said something about leaving...none of them last night were happy, morale at an all time low and probably not just at Ipswich, I doubt any of the players that have played elsewhere have ever experience a slump like we're seeing at present. Jumping ship isn't the answer though...time to stand up and be counted and hope the January additions help us rebuild.

The January additions so far being a bloke who was released from a League 1 side and another who couldn't get a game at Forest Green?

As far as I'm concerned they are both complete punts and add some competition but I still live in hope we may get two "decent" signings in.

Heard something similar from someone very close to him last week, but believe to be Cardiff then, but having signed mcgregor from hull that rules that out, I suspect he is on the move

I actually felt sorry for Gerkin. He, along with Lawrence, Emanuelle and to a certain extent, Knudsen appeared to up for the game and put some effort in.
Gerkin actually looked really upset when he was rounded.
Unfortunately the rest of them took the night off...

Thought Knudsen was poor last night, his distribution isn't good enough to be a wing back, we effectively played with 5 across the back against Lincoln.

Gerken is a decent enough shot-stopper but he often looks hesitant and his kicking is very poor. At the start of the 2nd half he hooked the ball out of play 3 times when under no pressure.

But the instruction from the bench was clearly to bang the ball down the touch line from goalkicks on that side. He failed to deliver but to be fair to the bloke, he only had a small target area to aim at. He did look visibly shocked by the reaction of the fans.

It's 106 miles to Portman Road, we've got a full tank of gas, half a round of Port Salut, it's dark... and we're wearing blue tinted sunglasses.

Knudsen was certainly one of the better ones in a bad bunch. I don't think Berra being so inept helped Knudsen and it seemed, as said, that Jonas when in possession was asked to ping it down the line hopelessly. For me, Knudsen seems to switch off to often and his delivery is lacking.
