Not sure I have an abiding memory of Walton in the way I do of Noble who has kicked on in much the way most of us who saw him play though he would do.
Two more from just afterwards who I don't think have been mentioned are Spurs loanees Andros Townshend and Jake Livermore who stood out as quality despite their youth but that was as much down to who they were playing alongside as their abilities.
Of those four it has to be said that Mark Noble is the only one consistently performing at a high standard since the loan ended. |  |

I thought that he charged about and had no finesse.
His subsequent career, highest number of appearances for Hartlepool, and now, at the age of 29, playing for Guiseley, looks like he wasn't good enough for us? |  | | |
