Huddersfield season tickets on 16:19 - Jan 22 by bluearmyitfc | Shows a club that knows what there doing and cares about there fans. No coincidence that there doing so well |
But every time Town have dropped the price the attendance hasn't increased, I guess the difference at Huddersfield is the fans actually support the club

Huddersfield season tickets on 18:49 - Jan 22 by The_Romford_Blue | So someone like you or me is gonna pay over 800 quid for a championship team? Really? Perhaps not posh but rich might be a better term. They definetely ain't the type who's moan for ages about the extra 2.50 on the gate if they didn't have a season ticket |
They start at £983 for Early Bird and £1042 after that for D block £869 is the Senior price

Offer me a seat in a posh seat or to stand up in the north and I'd chose standing in the north every time

Good we have the choice across the ground. D block is pretty much sold out each season, so there is still plenty of money in Ipswich Nice to move around the ground too sometimes. I just don't like watching from behind the goal at lower level. Difficult to really follow flow of he game, where as on the side is better imo. Huddesfield owner should be applauded for what he's done as he's got average crowds up to just under 20,000. Question is how sustainable it is every season of course, but good to see them try it.

In relation to this, I can also point out its costing the club a lot of money, to have Town fans sharing the South stand with away fans. Wagner wanted this, as it makes it more of a fortress having a decent number of home fans in there. The North stand is family upper tier, and temporary seating where you get soaked if its raining and we've always wanted the South Stand entirely. Police and Health and Safety won't at the moment allow it, due to coach park, being at south end, meaning away fans would have to walk along riverside to away end etc. Anyway the only Town fans who can go in the South stand are season card holders. No pay on the day. So every one that gives up a seat elsewhere the club can't sell it as they don't know who they are. Unless they email or phone the club that is, to say they'll be in South stand, and you can imagine how many that is. We could of course sell the lot to Newcastle, Villa Weds, Leeds etc, as we have previously, but not this year for any of them. You can't pay on the day because we'd have to charge same price as we do for away fans as it's technically same stand. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

Just to clarify. It's therefore costing Dean the chairman anything upto 1400 tickets we can't sell in the rest of the ground, not to mention the times we could fill the whole stand with away supporters at prices around average £28 per person. We love Wagner, and we also love Dean Hoyle, a lifelong Town fan and absolutely ace Chairman. Long may he reign. [Post edited 22 Jan 2017 19:26]

Sustainable I suppose if we go up, as I'm sure I've read somewhere that there's actually no need to charge fans anything at all in the greedy league? Obviously they'll never be free, but I reckon under Hoyle we'll always have a good deal. It was £179 any area at all this season, and we've never had tickets priced at £800+ Discounting Boxes of course.

These seats at £1000 at our gaf are effectively box seats I suppose Not for the normal everyday supporters like ourselves. As a Side note, do you northerners know where Romford is? Is it well known up north? I've always wondered..

Huddersfield season tickets on 17:53 - Jan 22 by JETPower | I'll bet all these extra Huddersfield fans will be able to buy a pint at half time too, unlike at Fortress Portman Road, where it is practically impossible. You'd have to leave your seat just after kick-off... |
I don't think that's a problem unique to us. I've experienced it at other grounds.
