Rowett did well at Birmingham, dragging them from the brink of relegation to the play off fringes without having much money to spend. Bit like Mick did in his first 3 years here. But Rowett also came in for considerable criticism from the Brummies for his style of play. So I'm wondering if he would really make much difference at Town, apart from the initial rush of optimism that a new manager usually brings.
Jackett is yet another one of the workmanlike Championship/League 1 managers who again probably wouldn't be an upgrade on Mick, but wouldn't necessarily be inferior to Rowett.

Want - someone like Darrell Clarke or Graham Alexander, an up and coming younger manager ready to step up to the Championship with fresh ideas.

Expect - Gary Rowett, he's Mick-lite and used to working on a tight budget so from Evans' point of view he makes sense. Football will be just as dull and we're just as likely to stagnate.

Just because I don't care doesn't mean I don't understand.

He's like mick. Effective off a cheap budget. And seems a decent bloke.

That's all we can ask for. Taking a risk could mean we are in huge relegation trouble next season as we definitely won't spend

In which case what would be the point of getting rid of MIck?

Terry Mancini's brother Mick used to run my local pub & made a complete pig's ear of it. So I expect him to be a strong candidate.

Somebody like John McGreal might be worth a look, depending on how you assess his performance over a whole season at Colchester. Links with the club, little bit of experience, but can he step up?

Edit: That wasn't meant to be a reply to your point, Radlett

Far too inexperienced in my book. The Town connection is nice, but all that really does is buy a little extra goodwill from the fans.

Derek Adams and Graham Alexander both have a good track record, I did wonder about Derek Adams earlier in the season, however he's just made a name for himself by a great defensive display at Liverpool and looking at the league 2 table they're scored and conceded less than the teams around them, so I'm not sure if he'll give us the style of football we're after...

I don't know who to get, just people like Jackett and Rowett are probably not what we need at the moment, I think we need a leftfield choice from abroad which I don't know who and I doubt anyone at the club does either.
Perhaps George Burley until the end of the season to try to get some fans back and to give the club time to look around Europe for a talented up and coming manager.

Manager's like Wagner, Carvahal, Stam and Jokanavic have all impressed in the Championship here

I've been mentioning Paul Tisdale every time their has been a managerial change since we got rid of Jim..

But his stock has risen and fallen a bit (although he plays some great football on probably the lowest budget in the football league)

When he eventually moves onto a new club I predict that he'll be a success

We could do with a bit of goodwill, just to get a new man through any early rough periods.

As for inexperience, Robson hadn't even done a full season before he came to Town, Burley only a bit over two.
