Presume if any bids had been accepted etc, any terms would be thrashed with the player and his agent by Evans/Milne, with Webb then processing the relevant paperwork.

shock - Come on Phil did you honestly believe that the club was going to spend a few million this window. It was all spin or at best chancing their arm. Its like trying to buy a £1m house for £200k.
Tonight will be toxic if we lose and it looks set to get worse without any "experienced Championship" players coming in which is what MM wanted, Chambers leaving and Bent no doubt scoring a few passed us.
To be fair its been on the cards all season and certainly since September. The club has shown no ambition. The last window was a disaster, but we were told there was money to bring in players this window. The club has failed and now the fans can see the truth that its all spin.
To think some thought that the last window was a success?!? The signing of Williams masked the truth really we many fans believing the injury prone player to be the saviour of the season, the majority could see it was going to be a long hard season.
Should we be surprised where we are? Not really. Evans has been putting less and less into the player side of the club for a number of years. He wants to do it with a mixture of luck and cheap signings and hope that with the kids it pays off. In reality league 1 looks more likely and given our budget that a real possibility. |  | | |

The timing is dreadful, in the Summer far less of an issue. To lose the club captain, our only real leader on the pitch, now leaves us really short.
To say nothing of the message this, coupled with the apparent inability to replace Murphy, has on the club. That goes for other players as much as the fans. | |
