There are vast unused areas of land in Gt Bentley that could be turned over to lettuce production. If only we could find the workers to grow them. |  |

Now I'm not going go all Brexit convert on this but I'm not fond of importing Icebergs from Spain, all for the great British round lettuce - mainly because I'm told that the greener the lettuce the better it is for you so icebergs are barely worth getting.
Bought a round lettuce yesterday and noticed on the packaging that this was one of my five a day - the entire lettuce! I'll probably make it last a fortnight... |  |
