Sounds like Chambers back at RB, 2 holding midfielders & playing for a draw, hoping to nick a win.
Every time McCarthy is interviewed these days he sounds like he'll be gone in the Summer. Let's hope we can get enough points to stay up.

Or a chance to go back to 4-4-2, be more solid and harder to break down and look to repeat the good performance at Preston. Depends how you look at it really

If he goes 442 then Chambers will go to right back with Taylor partnering Berra. There is no way Berra will be dropped.

Is Emmanuel injured? I'd prefer him at right back to Spence. Chambers stays in the middle to be partnered by Taylor.

Ward deserves to start on the right after his performance against Derby, Lawrence on the left with Skuse and Diagouraga in the middle.

McGoldrick should surely start up front; possibly alongside Sears or with Huws just behind him.

Moore up front
Mcg in the No. 10 role to give us the extra man in the middle of the park

Lawrence and Ward as the two wide men

Skuse and one other in the middle.

Jonas ( Kenlock would be in for me but injured), Taylor, Chambers, Josh

Interesting selections, but alas, not Mick's. I expect him to go safe:

Bart

Chambers Taylor Berra Knudsen

Ward Diagouraga Skuse Lawrence

Mc Goldrick Pitman

But I do just wonder if he might be tempted to partner Moore with Pitman

I can't see him pairing Moore with Pitman unless McGoldrick isn't ready for 90 minutes yet which I guess is possible.

It's just that while Mick talks up McG he's often leaves him on the bench when seemingly fit.

On that BTW, I often think it strange that managers who think that a game-changing player may have only one half in him only bring such players on after the game needs chasing instead of starting them and letting them set the tone.

Agree with that.

Spence looked lost at RWB o n Tuesday and got bullied far too much. I'd rather we looked to improve Emmanuel for the rest of the season than play Spence who will most likely be gone.

Chamabers is the only CB of late who has performed well, so I'd have him and Taylor in the middle. A real tough, aggressive and assertive duo is what we need to organise that back four. Knudsen at LB purely because Kenlock isn't fit.

Ward on the right, Lawrence on the left, Skuse and Diagouraga in the middle with McG and Sears up top.

I'd be happy with that. As much as I like the 532, we need to return to a tough 442 and try grind out some form.
