Seen quite a few people talking about Ranieri 13:07 - Feb 14 with 896 views | Marshalls_Mullet | Not on TWTD but on news stories etc, and its becoming more fashionable to suggest that Ranieri had nothing to do with them winning the title and Pearson deserves the credit. Yes, Pearson had a good end to the season, but overall finished 17th, not exactly breaking any records. Also his first choice team had quite a few differences to Ranieris; Full backs of Wasilewski and Schlupp. Central holding midfielders of James and Cambiasso. Main striker of Ulloa. Rannieri's first choice XI included Simpson, Fuchs, Kante, Drinkwater and Okazaki. So half of his outfield first choice players were different to Pearsons. Cant really be claimed that Ranieri was incidental.

I think his energy made a massive difference. Half of them don't look as though they can be bothered this season. Although it was always going to be hard with the distraction of Europe.

True, its very rare to find 'happy' football fans! Probably only Chelsea fans at the moment!

Heard that he broke the record for number of tackles in the Prem in half the time of the previous holder. A phenomenally effective player. Made a World Cup final in between those titles as well - assuming Chelsea win the league, which is a fair assumption.
Seen quite a few people talking about Ranieri on 13:45 - Feb 14 with 719 views | itfcjoe | I think the problem is, it's so difficult to build a squad to cope with the demands of the PL and European football. I went to a Capello press conference through my wife's work when they sponsored England and asked him why players who play for big clubs get called up before they've really achieved a lot.....he went on to say something along the lines of (his English was terrible): Step up from L1 to Championship is 1 step Step up from Championship to PL is 2 steps Step up from a PL side to a CL side is 10 steps That those players, are just so much fitter, better and well managed to compete on 2 fronts shows so much - which is where ITFC fell down and Leicester are falling down. It's why clubs bin off the Europa League now, because there isn't enough money to build the squad up to compete. And the problem is it needs to be a slow build, they are like a company that have got big too quick and all the key men can't cope with being a big company and it then fails.

its 2 months since they have played a CL match though, so theyve not really had a distraction in that time.

It's still the damage it does to the squad at start of season, never get a run of form going, splits in dressing room as higher earners come in - attempt at rotating squad etc. It's sad how badly this is going for them, would hate to see them go down as it was such a good story last year
