At least four people got off, and several who were about to get on didn't.
Needless to say the train stopped at Stowmarket, and people got off.
I spoke to the guard about this and he told me 'Ah, but it only stopped to pick up, not to set down.' When I pointed out that people got off and there was no attempt to stop them, he turned away, saying 'write in and complain.'

The point is that all the Stowmartians get on on this train and crowd it up when they have another train in the next 5-10 minutes and normally 3-4 trains per hour. This provincial train is only 1 an hour and thus they are trying to be fair to all the people who live at these locations.

That Ipswich to Cambridge line is dreadful. It gets ridiculously overcrowded and having only one per hour is daft. I can get from Ely to London with a travel card for less money at a weekend. There is a big push once again in Cambridge to reduce traffic. Well start with improving public services then you schmucks. |  | | |
