1. Haynes hand ball to win it 2. Mathie 5 v 0 3. On the pitch when we missed / scored the last min penalty, giving it to green as he laid on the floor with half of lower north going ape on the pitch
That was a real classic. Sitting in the old Churchman's , Close to the end of the match and he met it with a bullet header. I will always remember that moment.

Me too. Treacles goal North Stand ending their playoff hopes.

Yes,he put so much power into it that he made sure that there was no saving it.

1. Gunn/Ullathorne 2. Milton- Simod Cup 3. Thompson- and that will settle it.
Edit: Honourable mention to the 3-1 down here in 1993. Portman Road was ridiculously loud that night.

The 3-1 was proabbly the best PR match ive ever been to. Wed stopped the rot (i think we were 16 without a win) and the win kept us up that season. I think it also killed their run near the top too

Let's hope for a surprise win.
They are vulnerable nowadays.
Us wallowing in the past is why we are laughed at.
How about bottom three derby moments?

1) Hand of Haynes game - we played them off the park for long stretches that day, and got the rub of the green for a change. Not just Danny's winner, but Jimmy Juan's free-kick deflected in off the end of the wall.
2) The 5-0 Alex Mathie hat-trick. Burley's last win in a derby and can you imaging having been a Town fan and attending the four games we played between 14 and 24 February 1998. Like a sumptuous banquet: 5-1 win over Huddersfield for starters. 2-1 win at Manchester City with a 90th minute winner in Joe Royle's first game in charge of them for fish course. 5-0 win over Norwich with Alex Mathie hat-trick for main course. 5-2 win over Oxford United with David Johnson hat-trick for dessert. Blimey even the 2-2 draw at Quinn/Phillips era Sunderland on February 28 ranks as pretty good coffee/brandy/cigar.
3) 3-1 win at Portman Road in November 2006 - Jim Magilton had the Indian Sign over Norwich, especially at Portman Road. This victory with two goals for Danny Haynes and never bettered Town performances by the likes of Billy Clarke, Sylvan Legwinski and Gary Roberts was a wonderful thing to behold. Suggests what Jim was able to do when he didn't have to worry about spending money.

Neil Thompson making it two nil in 1992 (eating Christmas sweets with my mum and dad running around the house like a lunatic, first derby memory so stays number 1)
Gunn Air Kick (I was in block JJ as a kid, now that was a pitch invasion and the lads in J block, excellent! Imagine if that was north stand end)
Pablo equalizer (my own pitch invasion a decade later)
