Vancouver is amazing.
Restaurants wise; Ask for Luigi was our favourite but we also really enjoyed the La Taqueria on hastings, Mamie taylors in Chinatown, Pourhouse in Gastown and Grapes and Soda in South Granville. They also do great cocktails and wine in the latter, the Diamond was fantastic for cocktails near Gastown.

Definitely do Granville Market, it's a lot like Borough market but less busy and prettier.
You should also get a cab up to deep cove for a day, climb Quarry Rock and then head down down for doughnuts at Honeys.

Send me a PM if you need to know any more. It's the best city in the world, apart from the ridiculous homelessness and mental illness issues they have. Truly heartbreaking

Also if you get the chance try to head over to the Oakanagan Valley too, great wine and beautiful lakes

Vancouver and Vancouver Island are fantastic. Butchart Gardens are a must on the island. It's awe-inspiring to think that Vancouver Island is the size of England with the population of Shropshire. If you can get to some of the further reaches of the island like Torfino, that's worth it.

Tofino towards the north of Van Island is a great place to go - and plenty of coastal walks nearby. Get a boat trip too.
Lynn Canyon is a nice walk just over the water in Vancouver.

Pike Place Market in Seattle is fun.

For Seatte a night out in Capital hill! Try and see a Sounders game (I think MLS would have started). They get 60,000 in the Seahawks stadium.

I don't know north of the border on the west but hear it's great.
