Atmosphere 17:43 - Feb 26 with 4175 viewsclive_baker

I'm not one to get involved in the whole 'our fans are louder than yours' cockwaving, but was the atmosphere from the Norwich fans non existent? I was watching on Sky but I hardly heard a peep from their supporters. How was it at the match?

Yeah of course, I just thought it sounded incredibly flat from the home fans. More so than usual, especially for a derby match. Really shocked me.

Thought we were louder than them at PR in the summer.

Millwall away Boxing day a couple of our fans got a plate of cheese and biscuits out at half time.

Same game a woman told me and my mates to keep the chanting down a bit !

The fact they had that much time to analyse our fans suggests they weren't overly enthused with the game

The first half had to be the most boring half from a Derby for a very long time?

Alcohol is the answer but I can't remember the question!

Yep, they were surprisingly quiet for away fans at all, let alone in a Derby. In recent years the only time i have heard them make a significant noise was during the Paul Jewell debacle.

You are correct. Other than the first 2 minutes of the match, their 15 minute applause and after the goal, nothing

I was hoping our fans would have retaliated in kind to the 15 minute ironic applause, with our own clapping on 62, 78 and 81.

Had to laugh during the Bein Sports coverage when Norwich were singing 'Un tha bewul ciiy' before kick off.
The commentator was giving it the usual 'oldest football song in history' guff and Norwich had to put the words up on the giant scoreboards!!

The only thing that club has to be proud of and their own supporters don't know the words. They really are a joke.

Yeah I was surprised at how quiet they were. Didn't have the sound up too loud but I could hear the commentators fine while very little from the crowd.

Couldn't hear them at all, although they claim they couldn't hear us either. I thought we were singing all game so maybe not enough were joining in for it to echo around the ground.
