I find the whole concept bizarre. I've seen about half a dozen people make a bold claim on Facebook that they are giving it up for lent???? It's a strange concept. |  |

Oh of course it's harmless. I use and enjoy social media - yet I still find it odd for people to make bold announcements about something so trivial. Like people who give up alcohol for January and then try to get sponsorship for it... If it's that difficult to give up these things there's a much bigger problem afoot. | |

I'm talking full days without eating any meat. People are so literal. I don't go round saying i'm vegetarian, part time vegetarian or anything else in the real world. I was simply making a point that I would like to be fully vegetarian but 2-3 days a week when going out it's easier not to be. | |

2 & 3 have been broken already. Good effort though as I didn't hit here in anger until about 3. And I've only just cracked open a beer, so that's a very creditable 18 hrs 45 mins.
