Presumably they're also still unable to see how disgusting their players were in deliberately trying to get Hyam sent off before high-fiving each other when it inevitably happened.

Just because I don't care doesn't mean I don't understand.

Still injured until at least pre season I think

Think he is also out of contract in the summer which will be interesting to see what he does, would have been nailed on to leave before the injury

To be fair it wasn’t that long ago we were moaning about Watford under Aidy Boothroyd for their lack of style and aggression. For the most part of this season we had more in common with them then with previous passing Town sides.

Our biggest "thug" Diagouraga was actually one of the best players they have had over the last 10 years. Why? Because he's a quality midfielder who does that job perfect and they made good use of him, alongside Douglas, when they were storming the 3rd Division and pushing on to Playoffs in this league.

They are laughable.

Everyone on this forum is always wrong.

No, we've been crap rather than horrendously cynical like Boothroyd's Watford. Same goes for Warnock's Sheffield United etc etc.

Hyam's tackle on Judge was a bad one but, his reaction to it, makes it pretty obvious it wasn't intentional. It's hard to think of anything else as comparably bad by any of our players in recent years, a couple of late tackles by Douglas perhaps but that doesn't make us a cynical side.

Yep, our passing style has often left a bit to be desired, but we've never been a horrible physical side.

There is more of the same on their forums. 'Neanderthal' is typically one of the words they have used to describe us. They will hopefully be in for a surprise on Saturday if we keep up the style of play which we have developed in recent weeks.

That's a fair pile of assumptions you've jumped to there.....

It wasn't a bad tackle at all. Judge had lost control of it completely, Hyam had every right to go for it, Judge stuck his leg out and planted studs in the grass. It was that which caused the problem, not Hyam's tackle which was the sort of thing you see in every football match.

As usual the fair play table doesn't support opposition 'thug' taunts.

Only one of two clubs without a sending off this season, 3rd best disciplinary record and better than Brentford.

They seemed a fairly sensible set of fans enjoying life at this level

What a manager says does seem to set the tone for a fans set of opinions though which is perhaps why Arsenal fans are such a terrible bunch of moaners

And that would include the recent card fest at Brighton. 5 then wasn't it. As Bobby Robson once said " he was giving out cards like tram tickets"

I have never come across an incident like it in a football game as all normally reasonably-minded fans of both teams took a diametrically opposite view.

Without exception, every Town fan who was at the game that I have spoken to said that it was a desperately unfortunate collision but one which carried no malice.

With equal weight, every Brentford fan I have spoken with is adamant that is was reckless and part of a plan to silence their most creative player, even if there was no intention to injure him. A early reducer which went wrong, as one Bee put it to me.

They were very hurt and it didn't help that Judge is one of their most loved players, but it did not excuse their willful blindness to the antics of Ryan Woods and company thereafter during the game.

Putting all this to one side, I still think that deep-down Brentford are good guys, a club who are not up themselves and with none of QPR's pretension. That said, there is no way that there will ever be agreement on this incident.

That's a fair pile of assumptions you've jumped to there.....

Since when has hoofing the ball when in plenty of space been called thuggish? I cant remember ever seeing a thuggish Ipswich side.

direct yes, hard but fair

One of our biggest failings this year has been a lack of hardness really, we have become a bit soft imho

There are other clubs with far more cynical tactics than us
