Championship side really aren't they.

Can't say I see too many premier league quality players in their squad, and as a team they aren't good enough either.

Yep, and we would be exactly the same if we were ever to somehow get promoted.

Still, I guess they will just become a 'yo-yo' club for a few seasons, adding decent players along the way.

Poll: So what do we think will happen with MM and the Aston Villa job?

Indeed, they weren't lacking in investment before promotion so again they'll just pick up more cash and continue to be competitive

The gap between the bottom 12 of the Premiership and the top 6 of the Championship is very bridgable

The key really is good consistent management, there's a lot of teams with a decent selection players who massively under perform, Crystal Palace in particular.

Alcohol is the answer but I can't remember the question!

How much did Gibson spend in getting them there again? A fortune...

We are a million miles away from what they are went they went up...

I'm sure the £100m for finishing second bottom will soften the blow though.

That's what West Brom did before they managed to establish themselves.

And that was in the era where that was tougher to do

They've been boring for a long time but have been fairly decent under Pullis this season

Karanka frustrating the Boro fans by setting out stalls too negatively.
Sending his team out with the sole objection of not losing, instead of winning.
There were murmurings this week the Board & fans aren't happy with performances & he'll be off before the end of the season.
