Because he could get injured now and it wouldn't make any difference. We're playing for draws it seems so Lawrence wouldn't be a massive loss as we'd just replace him with another DM or something. We're 7 clear of 22nd with 9 games to go. That's 0.77 points a game that Blackburn need to make up on us. We're 16th, not 21st. Would take a monumental screw up from us and a huge improvement from all teams below us. | |

In terms of goal average (goals for/gals against), we've done better without Lawrence than with.
With Lawrence - 27 goals scored, 35 conceded.
Without Lawrence - 10 goals scored, 9 conceded.
That's not to say Lawrence hasn't been important and won us lots of points - clearly he has - but the stats say the team foes OK without him. |  | | |
