Cologne/Koln 06:45 - Mar 16 with 1255 viewsunbelievablue

I'm in Cologne for a couple of days next week (Mon/Tues). I have no idea what it's like or where to go to eat and drink. Anyone been and willing to offer some advice please?

Ive been there its a fantastic place,we went for the Christmas markets bloody Ace.

Loads of great bars and places to eat close by the Cathederal,if you get chance go to the top you get great views of the City .

A river trip is nice and they also do a nice buffet on those .

Many thanks. I will look into a river cruise for the second day.

I am also going later that week.

I have been given top notch guidance that these are the best places to eat in Cologne.

I grew up not far from there. A quick trip to the Haribo factory at Bonn?

It's a bit of a mish to walk to the top of the Cathedral up very narrow spiral steps but Benters is right, nice view when you get to the top.

Pasha is a lovely little club, get yourself up to the top floor you'll have a blast.

I went a couple of summers ago.. Fantastic long weekend city break with so much to do. We wandered the city for a day or two and could have stayed for a lot longer.

Particularly liked a few of the bars/restaurants (favourite being: 'Papa joe's jazzlokal') which is a great experience even if you're not a lover of Jazz.
Koln Triangle is worth a look, as it's a nice walk across the bridge and decent views down the River and back across the city.
Also worth a trip to 'Rheinpark' using the cable cars that go over the river, there's also a pretty famous spa there (which had plenty of nudists when we walked past)
