Firefox and Chrome will add the message if traffic between your PC and the website isn't encrypted (the address would begin https rather than http if it was).
Both browsers are taking a more and more strict view on security. Anywhere you post sensitive info (such as a pw) should really provide encryption. It's down to the website you're visiting to encrypt the traffic.
If you're on a public wifi network you could be at risk by someone snooping. Unlikely, but still...

We could be at risk from someone snooping but I have to say if some one is snooping most days I think they are more at risk of becoming enmeshed in the time drain that is TWTD... |  |
