Surely Milne should resign after that statement 19:54 - Mar 22 with 1760 views | warkthisway | " to expect the owner to not raise prices when he continues to support an ever increasing playing squad is not reasonable" What a joke- so we have to pay for failure but have no say in how the money is spent- can we get a rebate on Douglas' wages please? --what an out of touch moron he is.

Surely Milne should resign after that statement on 20:04 - Mar 22 with 1718 views | Scuzzer | Tried to work this out earlier. What is Evans worth? Wasn't it something like £750m? So he invests £6 - 7m a season. That still is just less than 1%. Well perhaps he would like to increase his funding to 1.5%? I think that works out at £11.25m. Seems a reasonable amount for Town to start rebuilding with. Or perhaps he would even like to increase his input to 2% of his wealth. That would be £15m. Really is it not too much to ask?

Conversely you expect him to subsidise the club even more, but are not prepared to increase your outlay. Issue is not the prices, its the quality of the football on the pitch..... If thats good then whether it works out at £25/game or £30/game it doesn't matter. If the quality is poor even £20 too much!

What on earth? Do you think he has £750 million in the bank? This is the problem, our fans don't understand finances. The fact all his assets etc 'value' him at £750 million does not mean he has that money in the bank. His liquid assets would be a tiny fraction of that. The guy keeps us running but fans have this self entitlement that he SHOULD be putting in millions more out of his own pocket. Mistakes have been made but he doesnt owe us money out of his pockets. He's keeping us afloat. Fair play to him. Would love him to give us more but this entlement that it's "not too much to ask" to give us millions of his money".

Think the issue is Evans is reducing his subsidy, but is expecting the supporters to pay more. I agree the issue for me is not the season ticket prices, it is the lack of hope/reality of competing with the budgets reducing.

It all adds up though. 6m a year, for 10 + years, plus initial investment.... thats approaching 10% of his wealth. He's probably thinking thats enough!! Would you put more in? Hes not the gun ho owner we all want, he is prudent and works within what he believes is a fair strucutre. To some degree, investing 6 Million a year is a decent amount, its just due to other clubs not respecting FFP and just throwing money at it where the real problem lies. What would be beter would be if the FL actually held these clubs to account and bought the inflated amount of spending down to realistic and sustainable level. That would give us a better shot at promotion than spending £20M a year that we really can not afford [Post edited 22 Mar 2017 21:02]

True, but by the same token the money he does spend probably isn't sitting there as cash either. He could easily spend more if he wants to. Agreed it's entirely up to him whether he does or not. But I also feel he needs to make a decision about his future relationship with us, as the current situation isn't sustainable and doesn't appear to benefit either of us. He's throwing money away without getting any value from it and we're slowly dying.

The point I was making is that Milne makes these glib statements, without any thought whatsoever. Why should we be penalised for the fact that the wage bill has gone up? We have no control over that and we have had nothing for it!!!!

He is NOT subsidising the club. The money he is allegedly investing is merely that which has been received, and taken, by him from transfer fees. I'll mug you, take your bike and wallet, but hey what a chap I am, I've given you are couple of quid to get the bus home.

Works both ways though. He does not put in £6m a year. That is a paoet loss only.

He has entrusted the running of the club to a complete muppet that's the problem but I guess ITFC is just a side issue for him for which he clearly has little time.
