Again, fairly gnomic. Are you really getting satisfaction out of the fact that the younger generation who are facing housing costs that you never had to face at the start of your working life, with little hope of ever "getting on the housing ladder", are working zero-hour contract jobs with no protection and paying tax and NI contributions to fund your pension, but will have vastly inferior pension rights themselves? Everything has fallen sweetly for you Baby Boomers, throughout your lives.

I am not defending the original post, and I don't know how you voted, but if we continually vote in governments, Conservative or Labour, who have no compunction in destroying pension rights and benefits, state and private, we can't be surprised when pension rights become 'vastly inferior'

You don't equate sneering at the physical and mental difficulties of many older people with ageism?

FB, surely you can see the maths is unsustainable for the status quo ref pensions? People are living way longer, so something needs to change with respect to pension provision. I'd argue governments of both colours have been ducking the issue for years, as its hardly a vote winner is it?

Under 30? on 20:04 - Mar 23 with 978 views | J2BLUE | I'm going one better and planning on never being given a penny by the state. I honestly don't think the state pension will be there or if it is it will be peanuts by comparison. I find it odd that someone who got on the housing ladder at a reasonable level, watched the stock market shoot up and finished with a 'gold plated' pension would be so gleeful that the younger generations are struggling. We'll have to pay more in tax to fund care, the NHS and pensions for the mass of baby boomers. You seem genuinely pleased whenever you get a chance to say how crap everything is going.

Oddly enough when his kids needed to buy a property he didn't direct them to Burnley. He helped them out. What he was really saying is my family is ok and if your families have to split up by moving 250 miles away to simply afford a home he couldn't care less.
