Last night I had the pleasure of attending the "Evening with Marcus Stewart" as organised by the South West Supporters Group in the Brewhouse, Bristol

It was a damned fine evening; Marcus is a wonderful fellow, kind, thoughtful and engagingly honest. He answered a whole host of questions from the 30 or so Town fans, touching on his time as our star striker to his current success as the Assistant Manager at Bristol Rovers

A couple of his statements that stuck with me....and I paraphrase loosely

Football is cyclical, you have your moments when it seems you can do nothing wrong and success comes easily. And then you have the dark times when nothing goes right, no matter how hard you try

Also, when questioned if he would be the next Town Manager he replied that it would take a very special offer indeed to prise him away from Rovers....he loves it there and the fans love him. But he understands that he won't be at Rovers for ever

A wonderful evening spent listening to a wonderful man....an absolute Town Legend

He and his wife are both running the London Marathon next month in aid of Rett syndrome, a hideous illness affecting young kids

I don't recall Darrell Clarke being mentioned

But I have a leaky memory

And I was sat too near the back. I'm a bit deaf and didn't catch everything said....

I was rather hoping that Harry from Bath would be writing a full report. Maybe he's a bit busy .......

Not sure....

On the cobbelled bit near a river

Opposite ToJos, a kind of cool trendy winebar where SouthWest Fans used to meet

I've drunk a fair bit tonight, but am in full agreement.

Poll: Danny Karbassiyoon, or Kim Karbasheran?

Zero Degrees is the one by Christmas Steps

Brewhouse is on King Street and part of Bristol's 'Beermuda Triangle'

Poll: Who's going to be at the Bolton game?
