assuming you have internet,you could:
1. buy now tv(basic box not that expensive).
2.If you have a sky dish, and can get a sky box 2nd hand with a card--that will show freeview channels FOC
3.there are programmes/apps that show feeeview channels FOC,and would just need to plug a laptop/tablet into tv
you will still need a tv license for all of above
thanks

if you cancel sky(assuming you are out of contract)you will still get all of the freeview channels-including bbc itv news etc

Or you could get a freesat Box (Sky blocks some channels when you cancel your subscription even though they are free to air).

Plus with Freesat you could get one that records etc.

freesat good shout, but if you don't want to splash out--pretty sure sky will give you basic channels free
haven't looked, but sure 2nd hand freesat wont be expensive on ebay
good luck!

It gives you most channels, but a few free-to-air ones are blocked, like Dave.

I have a Humax Freesat box in my loft that you can have for nothing, if you like.

Have Sky Q now ( but struggling a bit to use it )!!

Poll: Chopra - do you want him to stay or want him to go?

That's a kind offer but it's a bit mighty for my needs.
