That's the best advice I've ever heard to avoid being eaten by a snake. I hadn't thought of it before, but it must be true as I don't go on Facebook and I've never been eaten by a snake.

Only drawbacks that I can see is that Facebook would not be pleased with people deserting them to avoid being eaten by snakes plus there would be a lot of hungry snakes. If our income from patenting this idea is greater than the amount that Facebook sue us for then we could go ahead,best not to tell anyone else about it yet in case they pinch our idea.

I also thought it was a hoax until I realised it was on every single news website I looked at (of course it could still be a hoax but the video seems very authentic).
I believe it's the first ever proven (as in photographed or filmed) case of an adult human being swallowed whole. Several adults have been killed by giant snakes but none were then eaten and whilst there have been many documented cases of it happening, all were just eye-witness statements.
Also, the "eaten alive" part of several headlines is utter borrox - he'd have been crushed to death already.

I don't use the facey book thing, but I have been eaten by an Indonesian python on more than one occasion.
In that case Swansea's theory might be in doubt. Perhaps the non use of Facebook does not make you immune from being eaten by snakes,perhaps staying away from snakes might.
