Would be good to see an election on hard v soft Brexit. In/out of the single market and the economic benefits / costs.

If you limited your post to the first sentence would have given you an up arrow.

To my mind you have hit the nail on the head. If only the other party leaders had the nerve to call her bluff and vote against this in the HOC. Calling an election has nothing whatsoever to do with the reason May has given. She wants a stronger majority, which she will get, if she hadn't called an election now she would have seen her majority whittled away in forced by elections.

She would then be in a week position to call an election in the autumn.
