They really capture the Ireland of my parents' generation and my young childhood in the sixties. The image in the first link of what presumably is a family trio has all of the granite certainty of Grant Wood's famous American Gothic painting.

That's a fair pile of assumptions you've jumped to there.....

That picture of the child with the bow tie is scarily familiar. We appear to be of a similar vintage Harry. Tough times bred tough people.
