Done properly it's a fantastic flavour. However, due to its popularity you can buy almost anything in that flavour now and very few of them are done well.

It's not sweet. The salt kills the flavour in everything i've ever had with that flavour.
I quite like salted chocolate - and I am not that keen on chocolate.
I think that - as previously mentioned - Rum and Raisin is plain daft. Old Jamaica bars were the only thing I really hated as a kid, wasn't too keen on flavoured chewing tobacco either, I suppose you can't get that anymore, PC gone mad!

Speaking of strange combinations, I was at the Borough Market over Easter and I visited my favourite Liquorice stall.
They had Liquorice and Chilli, which was amazing. You bite into it and get the Liquorice, then after a few seconds the chilli starts to kick in and the two flavours have an almighty fight inside your mouth to gain control.
