Definitely me. I know we have to go on with our lives otherwise they have one but I'll definitely think twice about letting my kids go to a concert. At least not on their own. I'd go with them. Bloody stupid thought I know because a bomb is a bomb and doesn't take age into account but the thought of a kiddie dying on their own or trying to get out of the arena is heartbreaking.
Edit. A friend of my son was there. He's desperately worried so trying to get hold of her.

the news is one thing
a football based forum is another
i'm sure i am not alone in being repulsed at the sharing of this video
the poor kids are terrified
perhaps you have to be a parent to feel as i do
I am a parent of a girl who loves this singer. Your point about it being a football forum is strange considering your history of hateful, non football posts.

Best bet is not to watch any twitter videos on this, if you feel like that - I certainly do. There was a debate on here a few weeks back and some argued forcefully that it was important to show the full horror - I disagree, but we don't have to click play.
Has anyone ever looked at their own postings for last day or so? Oh my... so sorry. Was Ullaa

No this isn't the death throes of Islamic State. There are thousands of jihadis in Europe, in Germany, France, Belgium, the UK, Italy, Netherlands, Russia.
I feel sick, this is disgusting. Blowing up innocent children at a concert, these people are pure evil.
Mostly those who actually do these things are vulnerable individuals who are groomed by IS through chat rooms etc on the Internet (and in prisons). The message is basically 'this [IS's view of the world] explains why everything is so bad for you and us Islamists.
(Mrs Factual had to attend a session on cyber security when still at work).

You're both on the same side in this - don't turn on each other in the heat of the.moment.

I took the opposite view in that debate but I honestly can't watch any of this footage.

Difficult, complex area if mental illness/personality disorder and/or brainwashing are playing a part, but "just following orders" is clearly no excuse for such evil acts - targeting innocent chidren/young people is so beyond the pale that anybody with one atom of empathy with fellow humans would recoil in revulsion from the thought. (Which is what I meant when I said that Hindley and Brady were evil).

I know we live in a world of rolling news but it is biting us on the arse in many ways. The reporting (which I understand is essential) is likely to produce a few more volunteers.
When did The IRA bomb the Arndale? If I remember correctly it was a two tonne bomb, can you imagine how much air time The IRA would have got about that now - let alone the stuff they did in the 70's.

Not surprising. Have no issue with people taking videos (and under extreme stress humans do really weird things) but I don't think I could watch them.
I made the mistake of watching footage taken in the aftermath of the Nice attack. It did nothing to enhance my comprehension of the situation but the images will haunt me forever. Never again.
A day for quiet reflection for me I think. A flood of trite platitudes or bickering on the internet not for me.

Weirdly some people just can't help themselves. You just know there would have been Snapchats etc being made too.
Even more baffled as to why it's ended up on this website
Yet the police and security services are asking people for their footage as it may help them understand what happened and identify the perpetrator/s. It has its uses.
