A mix of Radio 6/Radio X (Sans Moyles)/decent indie/dance would be perfect.

If you like you Shoegaze type indie, DKFM is a decent choice.
I might have to check this out as well.. Sounds right up my street.
My local University radio station 'DemonFM' plays some decent music throughout the day, but especially as part of their 'Catalyst' show in the evenings which is where I find out about a lot of new music, so definitely worth a listen if you can.
A word of warning that the presenters are a little amateur

BBC Radio nan Gael between four and five in the afternoon, a fine selection of accordion based ceilidh tunes to get everyone in the mood for knocking off and going home.

Yeah, it's pretty good. Heard this lot on there recently, and went to see them last night. It's a decent cover as well.
