Need recommendations for a plumber who can give estimate for remodelling bathroom, or ensuite, to make it suitable for someone with disability. Entitled to have work carried out VAT free so would need to be someone who will be prepared to accept the necessary paperwork for that. Not entitled to £30,000 Disability Facility Grant as means tested so having to met full costs.
Would have asked in the week but busy time ahead. Funeral in Havant tomorrow, from there up to Sheffield for meeting with wife's Consultant , and his team, then back home to meet two estimators from stairlift companies before going back to Sheffield for two days. Good job I don't mind driving
Will also need builder for external ramps, cant find any solid but portable ones suitable for a nine inch step up. |  |

There are such plumbers about, here in Gloucestershire we used Severn Plumbing and they had a full range of porcelain (raised w c, washbasin, walk in shower ) suitable for my Mum's needs when she re-located from Suffolk to this part of the world
They were very helpful and managed the whole bathroom re-fit and did a lovely job
They referred to these products as "Doc M", the part of building regs that covers limited mobility specification
I hope that you can find someone similar near you....I approached a couple of other plumbers and tbh they didn't have a clue about what was available and what my Mum needed. So make the effort to locate a specialist, maybe local council or local charity, Help the Aged (now Age UK) or disability charity might have a list of local specialists
Regarding the external ramps, any half decent builder/ landscape contractor should be easily able to sort that
