Which boys aren’t true.

You don’t like it.., none of the decisions were mine, maybe look at those responsible, rather than the messenger.

I think some of it is less about what he says and more about the way that he says it. Whether by design or not the way he writes triggers a response in many people on here. After I realised that everytime I read one of his posts I got angry I put him on ignore.

There are various Ipswich poster like that - both on here and elsewhere on social media. Is it their fault or mine? I'm not really sure but life is too short to be angry so where possible I just try to remove these people from my social media feed - whatever platform that is.

Very much this. But I do like how he thinks he’s the only one clever enough to realise that spending is a risk and will have consequences if we don’t go up. I’m sure nobody else on here realises clubs have a massive drop in income after relegation and have to cut costs significantly once parachute payments run out. I can see why it triggers people, yet I find it entertaining at the same time.

Poll: Do you think Pert is key to all of this?

We’re in the same position as under Marcus, but with £250 million spent.

You don’t like it. Clearly. But that’s not my fault, sorry, genuinely if that makes you feel bad, it’s honestly not the intention. It is true though.

Maybe process why you can’t deal with it and hold those responsible to account.

Up to £250m spent now. Give it 10 years and it’ll be £250bn I presume.

Same position under Marcus? I presume you never witnessed those years first hand, or if you want to go back a way the hopeless years under Duncan.

The club has made efforts to:
Re engage with the community
Tried to at least make its dirty, rotting, no longer fit for purpose (but full of character) stadium more appropriate for the 2020s and should it get promoted again one day will not need to spend millions to stage a game
Created a start of the art pitch that can be used for events and in doing so created a lovely little memorial area for loved ones.
It’s rebuilding its training ground
Trying to develop a lost scouting structure
Achieved Cat 1 for yoofs

Under saviour Marcus we were heading for L2 and lower. That was the trajectory. If this is the same as under ME, then I must be missing something.

There is nothing perfect about what’s happened at PR. There never is. Mistakes have been made. Plenty of them. But the principle is that those who don’t make mistakes are those who don’t do anything.

Just my view

People have made their point on this thread.

I think it’s gone well over the top now. We have a bunch of people posting the same thing again and again about DH on the thread (spot the irony). We now have self appointed board police demanding that a poster comes to defend himself on a thread he’s not had anything to do with.

It’s pretty disgusting behaviour in my book and should be put to a stop now.

"..and should be put to a stop now"

Now that is irony

I really didn't want to get involved with this bl00dy thread but anyway ....

We're far from " in the same position"

In terms of frustrations to a degree on the pitch granted to a very small degree but it'll happen but in relation to anything else , we're miles apart from those dark days ...miles !

It's quite an ironic post by DH, as it just illustrates the fallacies posts.

Fishers got banned twice for posting endless anti Lambert views and then anti Cook views. Now those views are pretty mainstream.

I don't agree with what Darkhorse is posting and I pretty much ignore his stuff but we can't have posters being banned for having a negative view on the management of the club.

It still says Independent Ipswich Town above the TWTD logo.

No he didn't, he got banned for abuse - after plenty of warnings - well before either of those two were manager.

I'm still struggling to see how that's abuse.

I think blurring the lines between"" abuse" and "unfair", "incorrect" or "uncalled for" is dangerous and indeed open to abuse itself.

It's been said quite a few times recently on this forum: "words are important". While that's true, we should c
call it what it is.. and it ain't abuse.

If it were just “normal” criticism that all football club managers and CEOs get, sure.

In dh’s case though, as I said earlier, it’s 13 pages of those constantly dripping personal smears against KM and MA which cumulatively amount to abuse, yes.

I doubt you’d be on the receiving end of months (years?) of comments like departing players have nothing good to say about you; and that your ego comes before the good of ITFC, if they’re untrue, without regarding them as abusive.

Phil, I'd love to know your criteria for which threads you decide to read and which posts within those threads you read.

I suspect you won't even see this post.

More irony. There you go again, the latest in your serial misrepresentation of me that goes back years now. (People can check for themselves what I actually said).

Edit: to save people having to search, here’s what I *actually* said -

“What makes me laugh (wryly) is that dh has written in this season alone, 13 whole pages of posts slagging off ITFC management and ownership at length, yet hasn't bothered to come onto this 5-pager to defend himself even once.”

A far cry from “self appointed board police demanding that a poster comes to defend himself”,

Without wishing to contradict you, he was prolific during the Lambert and Cook era. Don't you remember the FOPRP posts from Fishers?

If you google TWTD BlueFish it shows he was posting in 2020 and 2021.

He did, I forgot about that, so apologies to GB on that. But again he was banned for abuse rather than anything to do with an opinion.

Strange poster was Fishers. Could be a lovely chap, but then went completely over the top on things and acted like a penchant child having the meltdowns of all meltdowns.

There was a phenomenon known as the Fishers cycle which kind of followed the trajectory you've outlined, he'd come back and be a decent poster, then some cracks would start to appear, then a meltdown would ensue, then the inevitable ban for abuse. You could point it out to him as an attempt to intervene but once the cycle started, that lad was locked in.
