Didn't got to that - was at the circus with the kids, but that's probably in the top 5 games I've missed that I wished I had gone to.

West Ham at home in the POs in 2004 being top of the list by an absolute mile.

Doubtless Marcus Evans would look at that and say, "See, temporary loans CAN inspire mass delirium. What are you all complaining about?"

Anyone who whinges about Brenner's supposed enthusiasm for opposition goals would do well to remind themselves of this sort of occasion.

No one who counts inside the club has passion for it anymore; I can't blame Brenner for losing enthusiasm when he's a non-fan looking in.

Poll: Who would you play at right centre back on Saturday?

Away tickets were sold out so I was in one of the home stands. Fair to say it was pretty difficult sitting on my hands when that goal went in.

Most of the Watford fans around me got up and left.

What an amazing game that was - such a shame he became caught up in this...

That or the Charlton game where Hunt scored the winner at the death. The difference between us then and us now, with supposedly better players is night and day

Indeed, it's amazing how far organisation, confidence and team spirit can get you. I only did two away days that season, Charlton and Watford. I count myself very lucky.

Saw the Charlton game on sky and was somewhat miffed at that point, as we'd played cack, only to then pop up and win it. Listened to the Watford game on radio, with my son, who was only 2 at the time. Needless to say I cheered so loud I made the poor boy cry. We are a shadow of that team now and I don't get it

Difference is organisation.
Tabb, Anderson, Hunt, Chaplow weren't wonderful players but they were hard workers and effective if somewhat limited. They allowed others to play and protected the back line.
The trouble is after that season we all wanted/needed more flair to make the next step up rather than just sticking to a pragmatic approach.
Unfortunately it has backfired. While Fraser and Lawrence have boosted the squad, there are others who aren't good enough or flatter to deceive.
At least with Tabb and Anderson you knew what you'd get. I can't say the same about Bru or Ward.
Murphy aside, we may have improved the quality of players but not the quality of the team.
