Jim and Fab to Miss Out Thursday, 1st Feb 2001 11:40 Jim Magilton and Fabian Wilnis are almost certain to miss out on Saturday's Premiership clash with Leeds United. Wilnis missed last night's game after picking up a hamstring injury in training. Magilton was replaced by Amir Karic in extra time suffering with the same problem. Town manager George Burley has admitted that his players are becoming jaded after a couple of months which have seen Town play fifteen games. The Town manager said: "The players have done fantastically well, we have 40 points and we ae fifth in the Premier League which is our priority. But the team is jaded,; it has been a hard season for them and they have done extremely well and have worked extremely hard. There is nothing we can do about the tiredness, the Premier League is very demanding." Recent results have shown this tiredness with Town's previously excellent away form dropping off completely. At home, however, Town have lost once in the last twelve in all competitions. With injuries and suspensions now kicking in players like Matijn Reuser, Amir Karic, Wayne Brown, John Scales and perhaps even Nabil Abidallah will get chances to show what they can do. Town have also continued to look for new signings with an attacking midfielder a priority. Town's game at Aston Villa postponed in order that last night's match be re-arranged is not likely to be played on FA Cup 6th round day, February 17th. Once again West Midlands police calim they are incapable of policing more than one game in the city with Birmingham playing West Brom at St Andrew's.
